How to Use the Save for Web Option in Photoshop to Save Each Section of a Sliced Image as a Separate Image File

Photoshop has a very useful "Save for Web" option. We're eventually going to use this optimize our gif for delivery over the internet, but first we're going to use it to save each section of our slice as a separate image file.

1) Select File -> Save for Web & Devices

"Save for Web & Devices" is under the "File" menu

2) Select "Save".

Select "Save".

 3) Browse for an appropriate location to save the new images. Select "Save".

Choose the correct directory to save your collection of frames.

4) Photoshop creates an "images" folder in the directory you selected to save all of the new image files.

The new images are sequentially numbered.

Step 4: Use a built-in Photoshop script to open all of the images at once, each into a new layer.
